- St Philips Church was bomb in the Blitz.

Avondale Square, Old Kent Road. The parents of my brother-in-law George Hazell lived in one of these flats, 1940s to the late 1960s. The flats where opposite FC Pursers, VW Cars, Mr Purser was at one time the Millwall F.C Chairman?
